Deborah Stavis (Co-Founder and CEO): Deborah began her career in financial services, owning and operating a firm managing over one billion dollars which she ultimately merged with a Fortune 500 Company. She subsequently started Stavis & Cohen Financial, one of the top wealth management boutiques in Houston. She co-founded Third Coast Creative with husband Monte Stavis in 2009. Combining her business success with her passion for the arts, she works to identify uniquely select projects in film, theatre, and corporate entertainment. She has assembled a team with diverse skill sets, committed to perpetual success in both the creative and financial worlds. Monte Stavis (Co-Founder): Monte is primarily involved in identifying ideas and talent for projects that the company undertakes. He is an ophthalmologist in Houston, specializing in eye muscle surgery for children and adults. A New York City native, Monte has always been an avid musician, a former saxophone and clarinet player who started his own band at an early age. In addition to his professional career, Monte has been a longtime supporter of the arts and a musical theatre enthusiast. [email protected]
Ed Berube (President): Ed currently serves as President of Third Coast Creative. He helps cast the strategic vision as it relates to the projects that Third Coast selects. He assists with the selection and negotiations regarding all new projects. In addition, Ed serves as a facilitator in an effort to align both the business and creative elements of a production.
He has worked in the insurance and financial services industry for 38 years. Most recently Ed was founder, President and CEO of FUTURITY FIRST Insurance Group, a private equity funded insurance distribution company. Prior to FUTURITY FIRST, Ed was President and CEO of Bankers Life and Casualty Company; President and COO of American Life Insurance Company (ALICO), an AIG subsidiary providing insurance products to countries across the globe; and President of CIGNA Financial Advisors.
In the not-for-profit world, Ed is the immediate past Chair of the National Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association and head of the Board’s Executive Committee.

Chelsea Stavis (Production Assistant): Chelsea has served as Production Assistant (aka feet on the ground in NYC) since 2011. Chelsea Stavis is a native Houstonian and recent graduate of The University of Oklahoma BFA Musical Theatre Program. Credits include Annabel Glick (Lucky Stiff), Violet (Violet), Martha (Spring Awakening), Woman #1(I Love You...Now Change), and Cat (The Adventures of Pinocchio). She is also active in the New York cabaret scene and has recently performed at The Duplex, The
